Students have the opportunity to explore traditional and contemporary Māori Art in the development of a sculptural Pare (door lintel). Knowledge of the elements and principles of art will be built upon, and integrated with research in the production of the finished art work. Investigation of artistic practice from the past and now, will inform drawings, wet-media works as well as the three-dimensional finished work.
